Ugly Sweaters and First Visitors!!

First of all, we have to shout out to our friends Nick and Elle who introduced us to the world of pasta-making! We celebrated Thanksgiving with them two years ago where they taught us how fun it is and since then, we have had a New Year's pasta-making party and now this year, an ugly sweater, pasta- making Christmas! This new Diller tradition around the holidays is official.

Thank you, Daiso, for the cheap Christmas gear!

LOVE Drucie's creativity - she MADE her "ugly Christmas sweater"!

Just a wee bit of Christmas violence

These guys had the pasta making down to a science and rocked it out!

Lots of pasta needed to feed 13 hungry people!

Played some new games - stack the chairs was WAY more complicated and challenging than you'd think!

Picture time!

OK, let's try this again.

This is what a tuckered out Bruce looks like.

On to the next day: our first Okinawa guests were Kim and her precious son, Silas! For lunch, we went to this nifty looking restaurant in Naha. Cool, huh?

The restaurant serves Japanese style, make it yourself soup called Shabu Shabu. The broth is heated table side.

We ordered the veggie plate which had thinly sliced daikon, mushrooms, carrots, cabbage, fried and regular tofu. You cook the veggies to your liking in the broth then remove them and dip them in two flavors of sauce and grab a mouthful of rice with it. Delicious.

Check out this cutie! Joel coached Silas in baseball when we were in Iwakuni. :)

Wouldn't be a a complete meal without dessert at Blue Seal!

Too much fun in Okinawa. :)

Thanksgiving in Cali!

This Thanksgiving, we were overjoyed to have the opportunity to fly to San Jose for a quick family reunion! It was a lot of time in the air for only a few short days on American soil, but SO WORTH IT! Our goal was to hang out with the nephews so they will always be able to view us as the "cool" aunt and uncle, LOL. Cole is doing a fantastic job raising these rambunctious, hilarious and incredibly smart boys - it is such an honor to be related to this crew. :)

Joel quickly resumed his job as punching bag uncle.

Attempting the Japanese peace sign.

Showing off the kimono's we got them for their birthdays - don't worry - Parker is not choking Peyton. It's just extremely difficult to catch a picture of both of them smiling at the same time!

Like Father like Son.

Like Aunt like Nephew.

Whoever designed this hoodie is genius - I want one for myself!

Rockin' Aunt Kirk's sunglasses at a Redwood Forest Park!

Oh my goodness, the cuteness!

Uncle Joel helps out when the little legs get tired.

I like this action shot :)

This was the Davis clan van for the weekend. My dad did a FANTASTIC job navigating this gigantic thing through the streets of Northern California :)

Yes. We played a lot of Settlers. And yes, we were very competitive. What else would you expect from the Davis' and a Diller?

Enjoying some quality time at a local park!

Scooters are SO FUN!

Check out this smile!

I can't handle the cuteness!!

I needed one picture that proved Katie's presence.

So, obviously, this post served as an excuse to showcase how extremely cute, amazing, awesome and inspiring the nephews are! Love you Parker and Peyton!!! (and Mom and Dad and Cole and Katie...) It was SO wonderful to spend the holiday with my family :)
